Poliwag - Polymorphing Polliwogs

A few days ago I got a phone call from the local primary school. Apparently one of the children had discovered an entire clutch of poliwrath spawn in their school pond. This morning I went down to the school to pick up the spawn, and save them from the no doubt innocent curiosity of the children when, to my surprise, each and everyone of the thirty tennis ball size gelatinous eggs had hatched into little rambunctious poliwags. Even after just one day some of the little polliwogs had grown to eight and nine inches making the small body of water somewhat overcrowded. After three trips in the car and a bucket or two later I have managed to transport all of them to the much larger pond here at the lab. In several weeks most of them will be two feet in length and weigh little over twelve kilos each. By then they should be strong enough to venture out of there little watery domain to find their own damp spots in the local streams and rivers. Such is life I suppose .
